Rescued ACAN

Hey guys, after some advice on this acan I rescued.

Basically got it couple of months ago and its never opened up. I keep a few hammers, frogspawn and some SPS as well as a few softies and ZOA's which are all doing soot on. Lots of new heads on the hammers both of which I have fragged and placed elsewhere in the tank Kenya tree frags itself left right and centre. Fragged my sps a few times all of which are doing great. I dose weekly yo keeparams in check which are;
Calc: 440
All: 8.5 - 9 dkh
Mag : 1380 ish
Ammonia and the likes are all undetectable
Phos : low enough to not cause an issue with no algae issues etc
Temp runs at 24.5 - 25 c
Sakinty between 1.024 and 1.025
Weekly w/c of 20% with ro/di pre mixed with red sea salt

Nothing in the tank nips at it either.

Pretty stable tank with little change if any.

I run the maxspect razor 320w with a lighting ramp up/ ramp down for 12 hours a day peaking at 70% white and 85% blue midday.

Checked after lights out and no polyp extension after hours. I've tried it all over the tank in every position imaginalblr over the past few months with a few weeks between moving.

Check the pics and I'd like to hear your ideas and advice!

Any chance you have an overhang you can place him under and try getting him out of direct light to see if that helps out? Could be a possibility if he never fully inflates.

To add to that i say this as you whites are pretty high, mine never exceeded 30%, granted a different light, but same idea. I kept them on a sanded with reef breeders with 90 degree optics and maxed out blue at 60, whites at 30.

It's the white LED's, they're up too high for a new addition. Turn them down to like 30% for a week or two or put the acan in the shade if you can, it'll probably start bouncing back if it's not too burned already. Personally my whites never go over 30% for that same reason, but to each their own on light spectrum

Hey guys, the acan has been in for months, way before the light was introduced and has never opened fully. The light has been brought in gradually over a few months with small increases in intensity.

I have put the acan in sump where it is shaded under cheato, I spot fed it last night with a piece of mysis per head, it opened up slightly and is bouncing back!

I'm going to leave it in there for a week or so feeding it each day. Once nourished I'll put it in the display, low down under some shade.

I'll keep the thread updated.

You still need to shad it, they don't like that much light! The point about before or after the new lights means nothing for this coral, your previous lighting was probably too much for it as well.
