Hey folks. So I've spent several weeks researching biology, chemistry, everything I could find... and trying to figure out what sort of tank I want and what critters I'd like and be capable of raising responsibly. I finally decided to go with a North Sulawesi back reef biotope. What pearls of wisdom can you guys provide me? All help is greatly appreciated.
Some further background...
I've been looking forward to starting from scratch but I stumbled on a 210 gal. setup which meets 90% of my requirements for less than ~100 gal. setup would cost me new. Thoughts on that?
Here are a couple pics of a rough idea I have in mind. Can anyone ID any of the corals from these not-so-close-up pics? This guy is a great photographer IMHO. http://www.reefwreckandcritter.com/north-sulawesi-photo-gallery.html
A couple specific questions - The tank is heavy on large tangs, but also has mated mandarins (which are apparently in hiding, which I can understand, but still concerns me) and has a cleanup crew which doesn't seem ideal from what I've read here:
http://www.chucksaddiction.com/cleanupcrew.html (i.e. hermit crabs, star species, etc.)
How much weight should I put in the above?
Thanks for any help.
