I have a sarcophyton leather coral that I got from Coralville Bay a few years ago. When first attached to the LR, the 'trunk' was sort of laying on the rock, but as time went by, part of it sort of receded and it re-oriented itself as to be more straight up and down. Tonight I noticed something sticking up from the LR and thought at first it was some kind of hydroid. Lo and behold, it was polyps, as this little remnant of coral has suddenly sprouted a baby sarcophyton.
