Restraunt suggestions?

Crazy Buffet if you love sushi. It's all you can eat sushi, chinese, and filet mignon. Lobster fest is now 35 dollars for dinner and last time I was there, they weren't the best. I did tear up 11 lobsters though :).

Texas Roadhouse is really good for their ribs. They are in orlando and you can google them. Rainforest is pretty good. Their pastas are real good. KW kools or something like that is really really good. Steaks run about 35 bucks for the steak though. Other then that, I can't think of any small mom and pop places.

It'd want to be dry aged, 28 days, piece of prime beef or Kobe, cooked to perfection for that kind of scratch!

No kidding. Charley's steak house does the dry aging thing I believe. I went there once before and can still remember the unique and amazing taste. Oh, to be able to do that to meat myself.. /drool

Crazy Buffet is not bad for an all you can eat place - but much better Sushi is had at Amura's (Lake Mary, downtown or I-drive, or Fuji Sushi on Lee Rd in Winter Park.

I'm trying to think of Cuban places, which are definitely different than midwestern fare and very yummy. I love Numero Uno, a tiny little place on Orange Avenue just north of Michigan (just south of downtown).

We love Bahama Breeze too - it's a chain, but a great atmosphere, and you can sit outside and listen to the music on the patio. There's one near the parks and one in Altamonte, (Exit 90ish on I-4)

Unless you go with expensive cuts, the beef here is not as good as "back home." (I'm from Springfield/Kansas City)

Danielle, as in half of the dynamic due from FishHeads? This is wino from FishHeads -in Jefferson city. What a small world!

Thanks for all of the advice folks! Cuban would be good, none of that back home. We plan on eat a lot of seafood also.

HEY!!!

Yep, we rarely go to Fishheads these days, since we're so far removed... how's the gang?

If you want to stay with us for a night or two, we are about 30 minutes on the other side of Disney near Haines City. Might make it easier than treking all the way back to Daytona. We'd throw in some nice home cooked food - or Bahama Breeze is good too. :)

We're totally flexible right now. Let me know if you want to get together!

If you love Mexican food Chevys is awesome and its 5 minutes from Downtown Disney. In Downtown Disney Raglan Road is the best Irish food in the US period. Also a great place to have drinks in the evening when the Irish bands are playing.

The gang is good! Everyone is behaving themselves for the most part. Much better since Patrick and his buddies started their own site. We are staying in a condo on the beach in Daytona Beach. How far is that from you? Thank you for the kind offer to stay with you, but we have the condo booked. Now, if the I start to get stir crazy with the kids, I might take you up on that offer!

I've heard Amura's is good but haven't been there. I don't know if the steak is dry aged or not but it was hella thick and hella good. It blew your standard steak houses out of the water like Outback, Steak N Ale, etc.

If you want to drive a bit north, stop by Snack Jacks in Flagler Beach. Really pretty drive up A1A about a half hour or so north of Ormond. We also like to go to a restaurant across from the Ponce Lighthouse - don't remember the name. Enjoy!
