after seeing that pair of maroons i am glad i bought wild caught

why u say that?

i just think my wild caughts have a nicer body shape and coloration
but thet are all nice pairs of fish
it was a stupid comment of me to make since i have no idea of the origin of these fish

Yeah I bought a pair of ORA Ocellaris....Awesome stuff indeed. They had a ton of personality and they were gigantic!!! I would really encourage anyone to buy them who wants a pair, though...can't be sure they are going to be the best breeders...I mean they are getting rid of them for some reason right? Not to say they won't breed or even that they are not still in their prime but it is possible. None the less you can rest assured they are super healthy fish that have been taken care of real well. Again. tons of personality.

colby got a picture for my lil thread i would love to see a pair of these fish in your tank also cool to see the parents or possible parents of all the ORA fish that have been sold

I know it is totally awesome when I went to the store after I first bought em and I was like ...ha...those guys could be from fish in my tank...

I will have to try and find a pic, I should have some on my computer. I will try and post them later tonight.

gsmguy i just came back from getting frags. there was the biggest maroon i ever saw in my life in the tank. had to have been 6-7" and FAT, friggin' huge and nasty. when he put his hands in tank, a few times it came out of nowhere to bite him. stayed behind extensive rockwork and corals most of the time. he said it has drawn blood. the male died and she is a nasty bitc*. there was a sohal tang, YT and PT, but she is the boss 4 sure...crazy.

dude i saw a 7 incher at my lfs they always seem to have killed their mate by the time they reach that size i will have to build a fuge that my male can get to to hide from my female when she gets that big

the one in the ORA pic looks about twice the size of mine the one at the LFS was easily 3 times that size it came out of some locals tank but was too hard to deal with
this thing could easily have taken out a full size tang

My friend has a single 6 inch female in a 55 gallon who is so mean it cant live with anybody and will suck a snail out of its shell and eat it

my pair both nip me like crazy as soon as i go into tank for anything, even if i'm on opposite end of their nem.
