Retrofit 4x65 PC Orbit Fixture for MH?

Has anyone retofitted a 4x65 Orbit fixture for MH? I was thinking about possibly getting a MH reto kit and remove two of the four PC strips to make room for the MH bulbs... I do not have a canopy. I'd locate the ballast remotely by drilling holes at the top of the orbit for wiring... does this sound doable? Anyone forsee a stumbling block that I'm not seeing? I will check into the splash guard see what it's made of so it won't melt under MH.... Thanks in advance...

I know the single end mh wont fit.They are huge.The double end mh might but i have only had the single end bulbs.And is the cover for the light plastic or glass.I would think if its plastic it would melt.

Thanks for the quick response... I was thinking DE. The splass guard is made of acrylic.
