Retrofit LED Build

Ivan, this fixture (36 LED's total) replaced a 2-bulb 175 MH retro setup and should be plenty of light for SPS even at the bottom of the tank if desired. I started mine at about 50% initially until my corals became accustomed to the new light and intensity. I have since ramped up the dimmers to roughly 75% and eveything still looks better than ever.

According to a 2010 Forbes Magazine article, Bakersfield, CA had the distinction of being the dirtiest city in the U.S. http://www.forbes.com/2010/11/15/americas-dirtiest-cities-business-energy-dirty-cities_slide_11.html

Thanks for the info, I was thinking about the same setup as you, but only with 30 leds.

My tank would be mainly lps an an anemone.
Please give me your thoughts.

Funny about the dirty City, just curious

Thanks

Ivan

Very clean looking fixture. I do have one question. It appears the cords come out the front. Why? Where the holes already there or some other reason?

Thanks. I hung the fixture backwards initially so I could adjust the dimmers easier, but eventually turned it around so they are at the back now. Those are the original power cords.
