Return plumbing question

I am thinking about switching out my pvc return plumbing for flexible plastic tubing. For those of you who have flexible return lines, how do you attach it to the tank at the discharge end?

Gray barbed fittings used for outdoor applications. I believe most large hardware stores carry them, but maybe not in the proper size or type. If you're changing your tubing from hard pvc to vinyl tubing, you may want to look into flexible pvc spa tubing. Not as flexible as vinyl, but allows you to glue it like hard pvc. Just a thought

You slide the end of the plastic tubing over pvc and attach with hose clamps so the connection is still the same.
I do like that flexible spa hose but Lowes only sells it with a 1 1/8" ID.

So I would go from my pump to the tubing back to hard pvc for the outlets?

i have both vinyl tubing which is attached with hose clamps as mentioned...flexible tubing however is attached using pvc glue as you would use in standard pvc

Flexible pvc has its own special glue which is flexible. Do not use standard pvc glue.
