Im putting a fish room in the basement in a sump and I need to know how many GPH it should pump out on a 200 gallon tank so I can figure out the height curve.
Typically up to 3 to 5 times display tank volume (after head loss) for flow rate through sump/return pump
10 times to up to 100 times for total system flow (powerheads,etc..)
yeah, 3 to 5 times tank volume per hour seems about right. closer to 5 would be ideal to help make sure particles are getting down into your sump and into your skimmer before they settle in your DT.
