Return pump on 180

My return pump on my 180 just went out. It was an older Little Giant, 1/10 hp. Does anybody know how much flow that would be?? I have no clue what size replacement pump I should buy. Any suggestions?

I also use a Reeflo Dart, and highly recommend it. I did use a panworld but it was too loud for my livingroom.

I'm also running a Dart return pump on a 225, and honestly think it may be too much flow through the sump for a return pump. Works great, don't get me wrong, but it's a lot of flow.

Give us some more details about your setup. How many drains (and sizes) do you have going to the sump, and how many return lines (and sizes) are you running from the sump? This missing information may make the decision much easier.

I disagree i think a dart is to big for that return. you only want enough going over your overflow that your skimmer can skim. The rest is a waste of energy. I agree though the dart is a great pump and run 3 on my 560/g. I use a seq 4200 on my return to my 240/g sump at the head pressure that I have its about 1200gph so its about 5x turn over you want about3-5x turnover in sump. use powerheads and close loops for your flow.

Also using a dart for return on our 180. It is too much for the skimmer to take, (which is direct fed from the drain) but with the low energy use, it gives good flow in the main tank. Otherwise you have a high wattage eheim (though very good themselves) but now add the wattage for several powerheads.
