how long have you had the pump? have you cleaned it? do you have a valve infront turned down? there may be somehting stuck inside. They shouldnt be make noise. I have three and none make any.

I have had it for ~9 months or so. It sounds the same today as it did the day I plugged it in. I was hoping it would have been quieter (I am happy with it though) Here is a pic of how it is plumbed..

I just installed the Dart on my 210 last night. I hope its quiet, but I did innstall a gate valve on the discharge side. Plumbed in 1.5 pipe reduced to 1" at the top of the tank.
A fellow reefer in Jax is using the Dart on their 180 glass cage & it is working great, with no noise.
