Toddrtrex Premium Member Mar 30, 2009 #4 What size sump are you using, and do you know what your overflow is rated for? Need to match the pump and the overflow. If it is a standard reefready tank (( rated for about 600 gph )) I would suggest either a Mag 5 or Mag 7.

turretdr I want to play a game Mar 30, 2009 #5 I would go with a 900 gph pump, then dial it back as necessary with a valve or T off of it to feed additional areas ie. refugium, reactors, etc.
