Hello all! A quick backstory, I got into the hobby back in 2011. But it got to expensive and time consuming with two kids and i got out of it in like 2015. Now with working from home I decided in June I wanted a small, easy to maintain tank by my desk.
I have been out of town for 3 weeks due to a loss in the family so had friends watching the tank. Water parameters were way off when we got home. Ammonia was up to 2.0ppm, nitrates about 20ppm, nitrites were at 0 (I assume they were overfeeding). So I did a water change Sunday and ammonia is down to 0.25, nitrite 0, nitrate 5pm.
This morning I noticed my clown is acting odd. He is swimming upside down and has a cloudy almost like film on him. It doesn't look like ich to me since it's not spots. He stills seems to be swimming around. But I am wondering what it could be? Could the spike in ammonia caused an issue?
