review on Seio pumps

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the Seio brand pumps. I saw some reviews on them that claimed they were junk, but for the price I am curious to know if anyone else has had luck with them or if i should just stop being such a cheap *** and buy a tunze 6060.

Personally I would go for the Tunzes but i have had a few Seios and i think they are ok for the money. My biggest complaint on them is that you need to smack the crap out of them to get them to restart. They also require a little bit of modding to give them that "tunze" look.

DITTO!!!

Basically they're allright as long as you NEVER have to shut them off. :rolleye1:

Personally I'd get the Tunze nano's and try them. The 6025's you can mod to push like 1200 gph out of them. Pretty good for a $60 pump.

I have 2 tunze 6025's and a seio 1100 in my 75 gal. and I like both of them. never had a prob. with startup with my seio. however when funds alow it I will be replaceing the seio for tunze's

Have you looked into the Sure Flow MJ mods? They take about 30 seconds to put together and you can easily mount them with the magnet they sell from the same company.

They are cheaper and you will get better flow patterns from them IMO. (Ive had both)

They're cheaper if you already have the MJ1200's. If you have to buy the maxijets and the kit you just as well buy the tunze's I would say.
