Revive and Interceptor Dip

Just curious if these two products can be combined together so you only put your corals through one drip prior to placing in the tank. I don't have the ability to a QT tank so a preventive dip is the only way for me.

I don't think interceptor can be used as a dip. Unless your're willing to dip for hours.

I swear by bayer advanced with germ killer as a dip. 4ml per liter of water (people have used much stronger concentrations sucessfully). I have used it to kill red bugs, monti nudis, and flatworms. If your interested in trying, read the thread about it first.

And you don't want to leave corals for hours in revive.My buddy did for 3 hours,total dead frags,all of them.

I was just introduced to this from a fellow reefer in my local area. Yesterday, I noticed some red bugs on an acorpora that was dipped in revived for 10 minutes. I bought the Bayer Advance from Home depot and redipped for 15 minutes. As of today, I don't see any red bugs. I too, will continue to use this product.

Is there a thread on how to use Bayer advanced: Diluted in saltwater, fresh, how dilute and for how long?

you have to dilute it in saltwater, then dip it for 15 minutes, and finally wash the acroporas with saltwater from your aquarium, and introduce the corals in your reef. bayer ( 4 ml per litre ) really works for red bugs and flatworms

The reason I asked is because I have used interceptor as a dip. It worked great, one dip and no reds bugs for a few weeks now. I just wanted to save step and combine the two. Ill look at the bayer as it seems to do the same thing but with just one dip and a single product. Thanks for all the great suggestions.

Normally, I will use both medications [Revive and Interceptor] on all new acros but one at a time: Revive for a 10-15 minute dip followed immediately with a 6 hour Interceptor dip. Never had much of a problem with this though I'm definitely going to give the Bayer dip method a shot, especially with the smoother skinned 'deepwater' species.

I've used revive and interceptor as predips.

Make sure to rinse off the coral thoroughly, a little bit goes a long way should it ever enter your display tank.

+1 to bayer dip as well. I'll never dip without it now. No losses yet either. Do some thread searchers, you'll see info on it.
