Revive??

well have redbugs and found the egss, i want to dip all my acros and would like to know who used this? and wat method and how effective it was??

i dont think ive ever seen red bug eggs. ive only used revive for AEFW, and stayed with interceptor for red bugs. i may be wrong, but when i used revive for RB....i dont think it was completely successful.

i used the dosage on the bottle. when ive used a higher dose in the past, some SPS, especially the smooth skinned ones, did not handle it well and perished.

haha wow, i cant believe i did that. I had redbugs on the brain. I mean AEFW eggs. i cant find any adults, i look all the time and have only been able to find eggs. But i definitly found eggs and i am getting white spots on some of my acros. So u just followed the intrustions on the bottle and you had succes?.

right. used as a dip. scrape off and/or super glue over all eggs visible. i dipped for 20 to 30 minutes. and periodically took the colonies and shook them in the water to dislodge any worms. then dipped in some clean saltwater before putting back in...either a QT tank or your main display if youre not able to do an sps QT tank.

would setting up a small qt and taking all acros out and placing them in their while i dip be the best option. . and if so does anyone know how long it takes for AEFW to starve in a tank. and i can safely put them back into my main display?.

From what I've read 8-10 weeks. I'd be careful dipping them at a full dose and 20-30 min. I think you tend to stress the corals.

red bugs dont lay eggs, and interceptor, not revive, is the appropriate treatment and it can be safely used to erradciate them from the whole systemthe whole system.

did you mean to say aefw's??

yeah i corrected my self, i was thinkin about red bugs. but i ment AEFW. i ordered revive and am gonna treat my tank, thankfully i only have a few large acros most are still frags on my rack. so hopefully it isnt such a bad journey.
