I recieved a 24" AquaMedic Oceanlights T5 fixture with two T5 lamps for X-mas.
I have no use for it over aquaria, but it I would like to use it over my toucan's cage. I have very specific T8 bulbs I like to use over his cage (ugly shop light there now)...
The OceanLights pendant has an internal electronic ballast for 2X 24W T5's. I want to use 2X 17W T8's. T8's were designed to be run on electronic ballasts like T5's...
Does anyone know if these ballasts will drive two bulbs of lower wattages? Will this work?
