Species dependent-but a generality would be something like 35-40 gals-obviously bigger will be better
I've seen some nice cube setups housing single specimen-these fish are sedentary-but do move around quite a bit when hungry
I assume when you say 12gals you mean for a 2-3"long rhinopias
