Thanks all. Are they photosynthetic at all? If you don't have a sandbed, what would be the best place to mount these?
Nope they're not photosynthetic at all.
Sang, I assume you got them from Rommel?

Yes, I got the white one yesterday. I got home late and haven't had a chance to take pics.
Sweet!!! Congrats man! Lets see it (when you get a chance)!

anguswu - what was your "labeled" as? (In terms of color?) Orange, red, pink, multi? I've seen different labels before, but a lot of them look similar. Yours is OUT OF CONTROL, and I was wondering what "they" called it?

Also, what size are these corals supposed to attain? Most I see are between 1"-4", but how big overall do they generally get?

Not all rizos are from japan. The one i have came from flores.
oddballs - do the rhizos from Flores/indo cost less than japs? Any chance we can get a pic, or do they look different (than japs)?

Thanks!

I am trying to get a good pic of it but the one i have is not of it in it's full glory! Price wise i think it is all about color this one is reddish orange/peach color with neon green tentacles with kinda peachish white tips? Sorry on that description I will try to get a pick of it up this weekend.

The suppliers in Flores buy corals from other sources. I've seen them offer Japanese Micros and Aussie Acans before.

So you may be getting them from Flores, but that does not mean they were collected there.

I got my Rhizo from Flores as well.

If i remember i think he said they were collected there but randy-o you have a valid point! Next time i talk to him i will be sure and ask. Either way im just glad to have gotten my hands on a truly remarkable animal/coral. I don't have the best camera so sun night my sis is gonna meet me up here and get some photos.

I have never been facinated with them but I have owned a few. Non Photosynthetic, very hardy and should be fed at least twice a week. They come form other places then Japan as well. As far as I know they cannot be fragged (at least no one has tried with those price tags hahaha) Keep them in the lower part of the tank and treat them like Dendro's

My clowns are hosting in the rose. Not sure if the rhizo will eat them or not.
The rhizo shouldn't eat it. I read in another forum where someone put a clown in with a rhizo, basically to test it, and the rhizo couldn't catch a healthy clown. He put a disabled clown in there, and the rhizo ate it.

IMHO, If the clown tried to host the rhizo, I'd be more worried about the clown ticking off the rhizo! I know this happens with some LPS, and this is the last coral in my aquarium I'd let that happen to!

Yesssss! :bounce1: I just picked up two today from Todd @ Cherry Corals! I got a white (with green/yellow tips), and a red/pink (with green/yellow tips)! These things are absolutely OUT OF CONTROL! Here are some pics (my tanks lights are off, and pics taken with flash) after just putting them in:

I will get some more pics when the lights are on and they're in their "full glory"!

Thanks again Todd!!!
