Rice Aquatic Lighting

I also have a question regarding Rice Aquatic Lighting sold on ebay. I know it is like 300 dollars more than odyssea lighting but they come with 5 year warrantys. Which is 4 years more than current and coralife, and 5 years more than odyssea. People are saying that a lot of times people will change the ballasts and bulbs in the odyssea for around 300 bucks more anyway. So my question is are they a lot better than odyssea and are they worth double the money. How do they compare to the name brand metal halide, T5, Moon light complete fixtures. I am looking at the 48" 250 watt metal halide. Thanks

I went to their website, and they look like a good light. When I purchased my light it was $600 for a 72 inch, so I know that lighting can be expensive. I wish i would have seen this website before cause that is a good warranty they offer,and its built in the USA. Not sure I helped you any but they look good to me. Good luck on your decision.

At least you think they look good. Would be nice to here from someone with experience using them but maybe that will have to be me. Just trying to decide on them or odyssea. I dont know I hate lighting it confuses me. Just want to make the right decision the first time, but I guess so does everyone else.

just my observation, these look very similar to the Ebay lights.

The warranty would justify the difference in cost, IMO.

What do you mean todd they are the lights on ebay. But the website www.riceaquatic.com sells them as well.
