Ricordea Florida Shrunk

Hello All,

For those with experience in care for Ricordea Florida can you please tell me why Ricordea Florida Shrunks?

I have several Ric wich are doing fine but I have one piece of rock that they are shrunk.

I changed the position because of flow first, then changed again because of light, I have already looked for bugs or something but they don't expand to their fullest potential.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Hello

I know that ... but all the others are doing fine ...

Its just this rock. and I have tried several locations.

Cheers

How long ago did you put them in the tank (a few days, a few weeks, a few months..) if it is fairly recently that you put them in the tank and the others are doing well, then I think they just need more time. I have put a dozen or so in the tank at one time and some took longer to fully open than others. The more mature ones opened quicker than the smaller ones....

well if they've always been doing it, then maybe on that spot, there is too much flow on it. Your aquascaping might be causing a particularly strong flow on that one spot. Try moving them.

Hello,

Found the problem.

I have currently a huge plague of Dinoflaggelates.
All the rics are the same way ... shrinking.

I will start to use Fauna Marin Algae X in order to solve the problem and recover the Rics.

Cheers,
