Ricordea florida, where do they come from?

I would like to see a link to that law. Floridas FWS web site says the same thing as timnnell. Another interesting thing is ricordea are NOT octocorals, they are hexacorals so the 8/day limit does not apply as i understand it. You should be able to collect 20 per day.

the collectors I use were the ones that told me that the law had changed, but according to the minutes to the may FWC/MLWG meeting, it appears to be 1/4" substrate still. perhaps it hasn't been updated online yet (?) dunno.
I pretty sure the feds are cranky that florida allows substrate removal when the live rock is actually outlawed. the state/collectors have been reasoning that a no substrate rule would endanger the animals collected.
