Ricordea frag with possible aiptasia

Well the ricordea has reformed into a circle, but I found an aiptasia in my tank so it must have spread while the frag was in there. It isn't near a coral so it shouldn't be too hard to take care of this one. Should I get a peppermint shrimp as well, or should I just treat them with Aiptasia X when they show up?

Get a peppermint shrimp. Aiptasia are like cockroaches if you see one there are more lurking where you cant see. You can hit em with aiptasia x and kill the ones you see. Just a warning though peppermint shrimp will sometimes eat other things besides aiptasia, I had one that ate a brand new acan frag within hours of being put in the tank.

I had a peppermint shrimp attack an acan as well, but it was actually trying to pull the food out of the acans mouth. Once I moved the acan off the sand bed the shrimp hasnt bothered it since. I have 2 peppermints as part of my CUC and the one aptasia I had didnt last 1 night, they also havent bothered anything else in the tank except for that isolated case with the acan. Now I just make sure the shrimp has food to keep him busy while i feed the coral.

Also if the acan had an algae or decay on it from something that is another reason the shrimp would go after it.
