Ok I am running into a bit of an issue as to how to filter this tank. The dimensions are 60" wide 12" tall an 18" deep. I took an old 135 gal tank and cut it in half horizontally, now its 65 gal with a good foot print to work with. I can sump this project with a 40 gal breeder that i have laying around. The question is what to put in the sump. because of the heavy feeding's (feeding roughly 300-500 ricordea at a time) should i be thinking of making a wet/dry section (ie bio balls, or that shredded plastic paper stuff) or a refugium. I'm thinking the refug will not handle that kind of a load. because the tank will just be a sea mat of rics, there will not be any LR in the tank. Does anybody have any ideas for a sump style filter or any other style of filtration. I am open to anything. I recently came across the hiatt filtration system. If your interested check it out at http://www.majesticreefs.com/. If anybody has any knowledge with this system and could shed some inf on it, it would be greatly appreciated. Any info at all will be greatly appreciated.
