Ricordea's - Need Low Light or High Light??

Ive heard both...What are your thoughts? I have MH lighting and just got some Ric's and want to know the best way to acclimate and keep them..

Low light for yuma and high light for florida.

Yeah, I've had a florida for about 7 months that has flourished and even spit out a baby...Need to get some more!!! Just been buying other types...

So since we're on the subject, I have an orange florida and a pinkish florida right next to each other. The orange is really compact and "normal" looking but the pink has its "tentacles" looking long and not compact like the orange. Is this normal for some florida's or could it be due to light being too low? I want to say it's not the light because like I said they are both in the same spot.

While many Ricordea floridas like a lot of light, you should still take the time to properly acclimate them to higher lighting.

I understand that, however can someone suggest why the pink looks leggy and the orange doesn't? Is it normal or perhaps too little light? Again both are in the same spot so it doesn't make sense.

I have some Ricordea floridas that have small, "stubby" polyps and some with large bubbly polyps. That's just differences between individual ricordeas as far as I know.

ive seen many flordias like like low light, i guess it depends on the coral.
