Ric's are some my favorite corals and unfortunately I only have a single polyp. It's bright and colorful, but doesn't seem to grow at all. I've just recently started to push some mysis it's way during feeding time, but haven't seen any improvement in size. Any tips for getting them to grow/split?

Cut it in half with a razor

Time. Mine didn't split/grow for over a year, then all of a sudden it started going crazy. I went from 2 to about 15 of them. Seems like I have babies all over the place now.

Interesting, I know you can cut them, but I didn't really want to go that route. It's been in there for about 6 mos, with very little growth. I'll see where it's another 6 months and go from there.

Just be patient. Rics usually takes time to split

i use to cut mine in 4ths like a pie and they always recovered!

Try that with a ~$200 pink yuma and tell me how it turns out. Leave them go until you have a parent polyp an a baby you can play with cutting up.
