is this normal in a newly picked ricordia?
seems to be very fragile or even parting.

Look at if it was ripped. Might heal up those

I just added a frag of this to my tank and i noticed it was very fragile too. Couldn't get it stick to coral epoxy, so I just set it in a live rock hole/divit. Hopefully it stays put.
