Are ricordias okay to put in an sps tank with high water movement and high lighting? I want to keep some on the bottom of my tank but im unsure if they will be unhappy with the high water movement. Thanks for the help.

the folks at garf.org raise them literally by the thousand and them say they treat them as an sps in regards to lighting, unlike discomas and others in the genus.

Mine do well in a 120 g ,sps dominant tank with 2x250w14k halide and 350w actinic. I have some on the bottom midway and 12 inches from the top.

i keep mine near the top or at the very top. Yumas or ricordia florida. You just need to get them acclimated.

in the wild youll find them in about 20' of water, which isnt too deep, and they do well in shaded areas... overall theyre pretty tough.
