Rics

A friend of mine asked about cutting rics, he said that you are not supposed to cut through the mouth of the ricordea. I assumed they would be similar enough to a regular mushroom that it would be fine. Whats the general consensus?

The general consensus is that you ARE supposed to cut through the mouth of the ricordea.

I've never propagated(sp) any corals before, but bought 3 rics and 1 yuma the other day off a fellow reefer. The piece of LR they were on was covered in algae so I blew it off and a piece of the rock was loose figuring the algae was holding it I pulled it off, but the ric was holding it. Now I have 4 or 5 bubbles of a ric separate from the main body. I superglued the piece to some larger rubble and put it in a light flow area, anything else I can do to make sure both pieces of the ric survive? It's a bright blue with a pink mouth I would really hate to loose it.
