Rimless Aquarium and canopy Q??

I'm looking to swap out a 60g cube that looks like the seams are going to give soon. I'm currently using a canopy with a retro kit in it for lighting that sits on the top. My question is if I used a rimless tank would I still be able to use/rest my canopy on top of it or would I need to completely change my lighting?

Are you talking about putting the canopy ontop of the rimless? if so wouldnt this just take away from your new tank?

rimless tanks are meant to be used without canopies. That's why they look so good!
