Now I'm Edgeless and Rimless. Picked up the GC 24 x24 x16 this weekend. Stand is almost done and Lifereef CLF1 shipped today. Tank is plumbed and waiting. I'm trying to decide pumps for flow now. I just can't afford Tunze 6055's right now so I'm thinking 6025's or Koralia 2's(temporary).

Not the greatest Pics but here we go.........

Tinted back and plumbed.

I still need to vent the Durso and drill the anti siphon holes in the return.

Thanks

yifan you got more pics of your sump setup? I'm curious to see how you have it all setup with walls on the sides and try to keep it clean at the same time...

b16drag, All of my filtration equipment including the sump are all under the cabinet, except the chiller.
I have them all sitting in the storage now because I need to get the plumbings done first.

It's about 150 Gallons and it's a see-through tank between the porch and dining room.

Cheers!

Nice Tank. Do you have a build thread ?

Can anyone describe how they hung their lights from the ceiling? I have an ATI Powermodule 54w x10 on the way and need to know how to hang it... Joists do not light up right so do I attach a board to the ceiling and hang from that? Any advice will help.
Thanks-CJ

vsnph, thank you! I think I will start one very soon when all my plumbing parts are here! :D

Ccondo, I have exactly the same fixture as yours.... need advice on hanging this fixture as well!! As you can see my ceiling is in an angle about 45 degrees.... and the ceiling material is concrete....... please... anyone?

when I hung my Elos planet2's I measured where I wanted them and poked a screw into the ceiling, then went up into the attic and installed a 2x4 imbetween the joists screwing through the joist into the 2x4. very strong and works great. Plaster is stronger than drywall but it's hard for me to swallow to tell somenone to just use one of those t-bolt thingys you just push up into the ceiling similar to the ones you hang plants from. but I'm sure there are ones that will support lots of weight if you absolutely can't hit the rafters/wood. But try to see if you can acess somehow to put in a brace/2x4 if you can imbetween the joists/rafters.

overflow question

overflow question

Hi Tsouth

Is that a Glass-holes.com overflow? If it is, how does it run? Any noise or bubbles?

I am looking at getting one next week for my rimless tank I am building and I'd appreciate hearing how yours is going. Tried to PM you but your inbox is full :D

Will be joining the club soon guys.. Will post the build as it happens.

Brett

Sii senor. I'm going to be taking the black trim off in a few minutes. Apparently you have to leave it on for 3 weeks before you can peel it off.
Fixed links w/ new plumbing.

Looking good! what type of light fixture is that?

It is a Sun System Teklight with 8 T5 bulbs and that pic was taken with only 4 on.
