I have a lagoon style Rimless tank (24G) from Advanced Acrylics. It's about two years old and it slowly showing signs of separation on all upper four corners. Tries to contact the company with no luck. I guess I have to take matters into my own hands and find a way to save the tanks. I do have experience the acrylic cement, just not sure if the cement will penetrate the separated joints, plus the harm on "souls" in the tanks.
I was thinking of getting 1 inch acrylic triangles from Taps Plastic and cementing it in all upper four corners as a brace for reinforcement. It has bowed so i though this was the simplest option. Any thought?

The added bracing is the best method to save it...

If its truly separating then its unlikely to be properly saved without that..

On such a small tank Id just replace it

Advanced Acrylics is a good company with a poor response time. I'd keep after them until you get a response. I don't know the length of their warranty, but I'd be a little cautious about modifying the tank until you know about this. Perhaps put a band clamp around the top to keep it from separating further until you hear from them?
