hello all it has been a while since i have posted pics of my tank (ELos 70 rimelss with 2 AI sol blue)
its mostly sps with some scattered lps and such
Most of the coral is local so thanks to the people who have helped me out!

- The fire and ice enchinta/ SSC/ and mygat tort (tiny but insanely green frag) where acquaired from Greg at Cultavated reef .com
great guy and prices

I have had some "brown" issues as of a couple of weeks ago
BLakers got a hold of the par meter and we found out that i was keeping a little to high of par so even thing is looking much better

not very good at taking pics but i did what i could


And wanted to Thanks Chris and Blake for all the backup and teaching

very nice. what's the highest percentage you run your ai sol's at. i get to pick up mine this saturday and can't wait.

Well here is what I am doing now - lights on 130 lunar 9 9 9 till 230 then 65 68 68 over 90 min then at 430 84 88 89 over 30 then 630 98 100 100 over 40 min then the opposite ack down till 12 the both blues 13 till 130 then off - be careful! These things are strong - 10 inch under lights we had 600 par at 100 and 530 at 88 - at 13 inch under lights which is the top row of sps we had 275 250 then at German blue/green mill 225 190 then sand 210 170
I am trying to do 6 hr of high par 87 for 4 hrs and 2 hrs at 98
I think the color is better if you have the blues up a little more - I have a extra controller if you need it -

Well I thought I knew what I wanted but not sure anymore. Definitely going bigger probably in the 150-250 range. Just not sure on the direction yet. Once I know for sure on where I'm moving I will lock in my decision.

Nice that's big - of you go Elos that's going to be a kick in the wallet - and you would need a ton of top off! But I want in on a build once you start

Thanks for the info. I am getting the controller with the light and the fixture to hang it from. I can't wait to see the tank with the new lights. I am running a 150W metal halide with 14K Phoenix bulb and 2 T5 actinics at 16W each. I'm a little afraid of burning out my corals with the new AI so I'll be ramping up the power slowly over a long time. The colors on your SPS look great. I just have one blue acro which is brown right now but starting to get its blue back. Hopefully I will be successful with that one so I can start adding some more.
