it was only about 3 hrs and ive had to transport fish for longer than that but he gets stressed easily.. he would turn pale or really dark and hide in the rocks. so sad
Sorry for your loss.
I lost power last year when we had a trip setup to go to Dr Macs. The power was out for 6+ hours before Delmarva got it back on. Everything was fine, a little chilly (70 degrees). I purchased a battery powered air pump and have 1 circulation pump and a heater on a ups that will keep it up and running for about 6 hours.
I keep the heater set at 74 degrees so it runs a little less then at 78 degrees.
ts a extra battey backup heater I leave it turned off in a battery backup in case power goes out the I can turn it on. After Dr Macs I didn't want to not have a heater around to keep the temp up. Its a 200 watt. Later I think I will set it up on a relay so it only goes on when the power goes off(future project)
Just my opinion, but I'd put it at like 78. It won't run unless it goes below that or it breaks. If it breaks it probably won't matter what you set it at.
I've got a lot of those future projects running around in my head, lol. We'll see when I ever get the time or money to work on them.
