MY LT white nem just kicked the bucket. it was a cheap Fl condy but I am wondering why it died. I have had 2 that have died. I have 520w lighting. Sump,protein skimmer. I fed it 3-4 days a week. Shrimp,brine,mysis. I added all the necessary additives. It was in my 75. Don't seem to have any luck, even with the supposed "hardy" ones. Can anyone give me any insight on what I am doing wrong or suggest another type of nem for my heartbroken clown?

I have to compact lighting hoods over my 75 each has 2 65w white and 2 65w actinic. 520w total.

hmmmmm, clowns rarely host LTA's so another one you could try is a BTA. and IMO every nem should be fed silversides.

Clowns rarely host LTA??? Wrong, but what he's talking about here is a condy, which is not a natural host. They are cheap because they are usually unhealthy and die soon.

As far as feeding silversides, wrong again. They are much better off with smaller foods they can digest easier, such as krill and brine. Try doing some research before handing out advice.

yeah but its pc.. And it being white dose not help it out. I bet it was on its way out as you bought it ....How old are the pc also they only last about 8mths

Sorry, always get them mixed up cos in UK lta's are sometimes called condys.

Ive only kept BTA's so i assumed it would be the same for all anemones.

I dont STRICLY feed silverside, thats just their main diet. mysid is part of it but thats just like a "treat".
