Ripped my hairy mushroom!!

I'm worried about this. I have a gaint mushroom about 9-10" and as I was arranging some new frags in my tank i dropped a rock and tore a 1" gash toward the outside edge. He looks okay, a little droopy. Is it going to be ok? He was my first coral.

Well they grow back when you frag them so I would guess it would be fine. Maybe you should just go ahead and frag it anyways.

I was amazed when two days later I couldnt even tell it was ripped! Crazy how fast it healed itself.

I did that recently too...freaked the most when I saw how much "guts" it spit out. You would think it would have never have made it through that.
