Ripped off Online

I just ordered from reef kingdom an online web site that i have heard pretty good things about. I ordered a colony of Fire and Ice a colony of Blue Grass and flame thrower palys. The blue grass first of all look nothing like they are shown on the web site not even close, not even one of the colors are the same. The flame throwers are smaller than zoa sized and they are suppose to be palys and the main thing is that they are not flame throwers. They are a random zoa with aa red skirt it is horable. As if it coulnt get worse the F-ing fire and ice have fungus growing all over them and the ones that are open are this grey color where it should be blue and orange (kinda orange) where it should be red. this is a shame and this web site should not be in buisness if this is what they are going to do. IMO


What do you guys think i shoul do about the sick fire and ice? Should i cut the sick polyps off throw out the whole colony? It has been in my tank for a few days has it already infected my whole tank? what would you do?
 
Sorry to hear it. Iv'e learned my lesson also....wysiwyg from now on for me.

I recieved some that shiped hard and got fungus...I left them alone and it DID spread to most my other zoas but they are all recovering now a few weeks later.

Hope they are able to rectify the problem for you somehow....
 
You know on second opinion i talked to this guy and he seemed real cool. He was willing to help me out with anything I asked and told me he would replace anything i had a prob with.

So maybe the colors where weak when they arrived but I'll Give them a little bit to chill out and soak up the halide. I will def keep you up dated and let you know.

But do remember when i talk to this guy he was total nice and told me he would work with me and if i lost polyps he would replace them or credit me.

Yo, not for nothing, but he told me the same exact thing. This just happened last week. He gave me his cell phone by email and told me to call him on Sat. I did. Left a message ,so far no call back or email from him. I was feeling just like you, but so far he has not responded.
 
cool thanks man its just he was a nice guy on the phone so i felt bad for bad mouthing him. Really i dont expect anything just an admition.
 
The guy who owns the company reefKingdom has just contacted me and says he is going to take care of the probs i had with my shipment. I will keep you informed on how things happen. Hopefully this guy is nice and takes care of what happened and restores peoples faith in his company.

If youwould like me to put a copy of his email to me up here i will
 
Not trying to flame on you at all, but everyone should always try to solve an issue with a person/company BEFORE blasting them in a public forum. Most, given the chance, will make it right. Sounds like you have a positive response from them within 4-5 days. Thats very reasonable, especially considering the phone conversation you had also. Again, not a flame, I just wish people wouldn't jump the gun before giving a vendor the benefit of the doubt, and allowing them the chance to make it right.

I totally agree zeppelin. 9 times out of 10 the online company will take care of issues if delt with properly. ReefKingdom is a great company, I have personally have purchased from them many times. I have never been upset with my order. They have sent me everything to my satisfaction and even more. It's too bad that people have to jump the gun on there oppinion. I'd hate to see such a good company suffer because of ignorance.
 
Zeppelin You are totaly right and this is my fault. I will not do this again. When i got the package i called for two days straight and no one answered. That is when i became upset and posted this. You must understand that i was very excited about this package and when i got it and it wasnt what i expected i was not happy, then the would not answer the phone. When they did finally answer they where very nice and did what they could.

Like i said i am sorry for any bad blood i cause for this company they do not deserve it. They do need to change thier pictures to show more accurate colors. Other than that this company delivers well has good customer service (when they answer the phone) and I will recieve thier replacement on monday and tell you what it is like.


PS: snipersps it does not take a moron to fugure out that you work for this company since your first post is in this forum and also this topic. Your home town is also where this company is based. Please if you would like to tell me I am a bad person than do it with you own name. I have taken the blame and i am sorry although as you see i am not the only one who had this feeling.

But beyond all that Thank you Jared i will tell you guys what happens next
 
I live in the same area as reefkingdom and just made an awesome purchase and was very satisfied.

We all take the risk of purchasing online and not getting the best product. But take it up w/ the seller/owner of the store - instead of flaming them first.
 
OK so i just got the package from Jared (ie. the owner of reefkingdom) I do have a few word to describe the shipment like: Above and beyond, amazing, x-mas like, just great to see.

Yes the coral was great, but beyond that it is great to see someone stand up for thier product like this. Yes there was a problem and yes it was taken care of. I believe that Jared will now make sure to provide the best quality frags on every shippment that goes out. Every order is someones baby no matter big or small. Everyone want thier money worth and reefkingdom has the quality items to make that happen.

I believe i am done now. And i am sorry for disparaging a good mom and pop type place like this. I wish you all the luck with you company

For those of you that are thinking of ordering from this site. I can say with confidence do it and rest ashured that Jared and his company stand by what they sell and if you feel you got the short end of the stick, or of the frag in this case, then you have nothing to worry about and Jared will make it right.
