Hi all,
I was just trying to remove a frag of sea-mat type poylps in my 55g reef tank when I accidently ripped one in half. Are my tank's inhabitants in danger from the toxin? If so, what can be done? Going to change some water now and add more carbon.

how big of a tank? i doubt it. i have done the same thing with no ill effects.

I'm probably just freaking out because I've got a pair of mandarins in there that began spawning a few weeks ago. I'd hate to see them die.

everything will be fine, i agree with twon. no need to worry, i just wouldnt drink the water (but you shouldnt be doing that anyways) ;)

i really dont feel like getting into the "zoa toxicity thread", since there are so many google experts out there who beleive anything they read off of any website. here is the thread, most of it is garbage mindless babbling http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=158730&perpage=25&pagenumber=1

again, just use common sense. there are many other bad toxins in our aquariums, so you just need to defend yourself against all of them.
