the poor thing died as the barge carrying it had the release site about an hour away.
well done to all the people involved in trying to save it for all they did,

gosh, i hate to hear that!! i was really pulling for it to get back to the sea. i hate to see an animal lost, stressed and scared.

That is really sad, but i'm not sure if there was much hope for it to begin with

Read that the whale was injured to begin with and the experts were considering euthanizing it or taking it to deep water. That's a moot point now. Oh well that's nature and at least people tried.
