If I set a ramp time, how do I turn lights on quick for feeding or whatever.. do I have to always wait for the timer to complete?

If so, that blows.

Also, when I am setting up the lighting.. can I just make the lights "switch" or "light" not advanced, and keep them on all the time and let the ALC control the timing? Its sort of annoying to have to set the durations and on times in two separate places.

DA really needs some usability people on board - programmers make awful ui engineers.

have you tried the DA forum on RC or their support forum? It might be a little easier for them to find your post in those sections

I called them..

No way to set ramp time for easy feeding/quick lights on <- totally stupid.
I can make lights a switch in the pc4 - on/off.

You really have to read the fine print with DA. They claim all this flexibility on the surface but there are constantly nuances that are just a result of lackluster programming capability.

Another example is the standby modes.. sure there are 4 but you cant change the duration of the individual modules, so all you can do is change duration of the standby mode.. this sucks because what if I want the filter off for 5 minutes for normal feeding, but off for 45 minutes for dosing DT's. I'd be forced to turn everything off (like powerheads) for 45 minutes, when I want powerheads on quickly to circulate the phyto while the pump is off.

The other thing that bugs me is when you want to cancel a standby mode (ie done feeding), it will not cancel the timers you place on modules, just the standby timer. <- totally stupid.. cancel timer should mean CANCEL timer! I have to cycle power via the pc4 to get all the timers back to 0.

These problems are so fixable by DA but they just wont do it. Its probably two days of programming and testing to significantly improve this stuff.

And dont get me started on the interface logic.. omg..

Ok rant over. I'm just a little ****ed I paid hundreds more for a RKE when it doesnt really do anything the RKL doesn't do.
