The RK2 is available used, not on aquacave's site. That pic was for reference purposes.

I wasn't aware the newer modules weren't compatible with the RK2.

My bad. I thought you were saying that you were going to get it from them.

The RKL and RKE both use a new and completely different system for control. They are compatible with each other, but not with the RK2. All modules for the RKL are the same as the modules for the RKE. Only difference between the two systems is the head unit.

Wow, okay. That makes sense. It's a good thing I learned that before buying the rk2.

Looks like the rkl is the way to go.

How do u like you elite?

Thanks for the help!

I never owned a controller before but for $99 I felt it was worth a chance. I ordered it two days ago will let you know how I like it. The heat control was the main reason for the pruchase.

I love my RKE. About the only complaint I have had is with getting my pH probes calibrated, but once that was sorted it worked great. Recently I took my entire system down to move to my new home. Just last weekend I pulled out and cleaned the RKE, plugged it in (just to check everything and upgrade the firmware). Its still got all my old settings. The new firmware is great. I sent up some adition programing, and now just waiting to finish my rebuilding. Yea it was pricey, but, I figure I have spent more on other equipment with a shorter lifespan (ie computer parts).

All in all, I love DA products, and am definately sold.

*note, I have an older RKE, now the nice new head unit. They have a great upgrade program tho!

I'm hoping to make this work. The $99 price point is really a great deal. Especially because it's upgradable.
