RO/DI arrived

i just got this in last night from the filter guys.5 stage RO/DI unit with built in TDS in/out meter(75 gpd).i have all the water lines run into my garage and storage tanks set up.i just need to hang the unit on the wall and connect the water lines to the unit.

it is my first RO/DI.i just finished hooking it all up.the water going into the unit measured 223ppm,coming out it read 0ppm

Very nice, i wish i had water pressure...my ghetto apt is running at a awesome 30psi...and thats on a good day.

Gimplar...You can get a booster pump. Not that much $$$.

cost $195 plus shipping and tax for unit and about $60 for all the pvc piping and storage containers.and i must give the filter guys a big A++++++ on this unit,well built and great service.worth every penny.it has filled my first 32 gallon container about 2/3's of the way since 5 pm(6 hours~20 gallons).oh and $14 for the cloramine filter upgrade and like $8 for a float switch for the storage tanks.

In what order are the filters? Mine is Sediment-carbon-RO-DI. Where would the cloramine filter go? I would assume before the RO to prolong the life.

I personally do not use a clorimine filter. Is it a good idea...Yes

the cloramine filter goes in place of the regular carbon block in chamber 2.it was only $14 and if it will prolong the RO membranes life it is worth the little extra.BTW i now have a 30 gallon drum full of fresh water and a 30 gallon drum of salted gonna start dosing the salted water to get the calcuim and alk in line with my tank.
