It looks like a 75GPD tfc membrane . The 75 at the end of the Membrane # on mine is The GPD. Looks like its ready to go. The orange line is the Tap water line in. Mine has a blue line for RO/di water and a red Line for waste water. Its a Kent Marine Reverse Osmosis/Deionization (RO/DI Water) System.. Google it and you can find a manual

Thanks
it has not been used in a while i dont know when he even used it last. tha membrane was a little wet still.
where should i get all the other filter inserts that will fit that system

Your unit might be for 60 GPD . The TFC membrane in your unit is not a kent marine so it has been replaced.

I would test it with the one it came with . Th TFC membrane can last 6 months to a year. The rest of the membranes are fairly cheap to replace.

ill give it a try, would lowes have the pressure guage that would fit it??
and would this be fine http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/bulk-...ge-ro-di-standard-replacement-filter-kit.html

thanks alot for the info

Lowe's probably does not carry the pressure gauge, but it's worth taking a look. The filters you selected are fine provided your tap water does not contain chloramines, if it does you will need special filters with catalytic carbon. Measuring your TDS before and after your RO filter will let you know if it needs to be replaced or not. You should see a 90% reduction in TDS through your RO filter. Watch the videos on the Bulk Reef Supply website, you will learn a lot about your system by viewing them.

BRS sells a pressure gauge with a 1/4" Tee fitting that will work. I'm sure buckeye field supply, air water and Ice and The Filter Guys also carry something similar, too.

LFS can help with all those needs... just write down what you have and they can assit. I just changed my filters and it ran like $25.00 total....

ok so im going to order the cartreges this weekend and was wondering if you guys think that bulk reef supply is good and where is a good place to get a decent tds meter. would i want one inline or a handheld one?

Ok so I got my filters coming tommarow I was wondering what you guys to tie into the tap water. I found a converter that goes under sink and splits o 1/4 tubing but o you connect it to the or water supply or cold?

I have a utility sink that I rarely use. So I use that faucet. I got a $4 converter from Lowe's.

Also, you need to figure out if the wastewater to good water is at least 3-1, right oldtimers? You run water from both lines into bowls for 1 minute and then measure how much more waste water you have then clean water. If it's too low, then you need to adjust. It's not complicated to adjust, but if you need to do it, post back here and a ton of ro/di pros can explain it. I've got pics of doing mine, so I can share those too.

And then the next thing that you'll read is how you should use RO/DI water for your tank, and if you plan on drinking the filtered water, you would use the RO water. You can buy a tee valve so put in front of the DI filter. I have the tee valve, just haven't installed it yet.
