RO/DI Question

I have a Maxxima unit by Kent Marine, 35 gpd. I have a dual TDS meter from BRS. One of the readings takes place after 3 of the filters, just before the "resin" I think. (the last filter...the expensive one) The other reading takes place on the output water line. How do I know when I need to change any of the filters? Both of my readings are 0.00 TDS but the filters are starting to look kinda grungy. They've been on there for a year or more and the last filter has been there for probably 3 years. One thing to take into consideration, I only have a 30 gal tank right now so it's not like I make a ton of water. I will be filling a 125 pretty soon though.

i change the sediment filter (1st stage) when it looks dirty, the carbon stages should be changed every 6 months regardless because of bacteria. the membrane I will change when my TDS comming out starts to raise or production gets worse. (usually every 3-4 years). the DI I will change when TDS gets above 1
