RO/DI Question

I picked up a used RO might be DI unit from a friend, I looks to be Coralife brand, with 2 canisters and a membrane that sits on top, I hooked it up and let it run for about an hour or so, and no "good" water, there are a few factors that come into play here, just need some questions answered, my faucet itself leaks some water, and the RO unit itself is leaking, could this be part of the problem, and is there any easy way to fix the leaking RO unit, I can move it to another faucet without any problem?

more than likely just an ro unit. most ro di have 3 canisters plus an 1 external unit. If it leaks try revsing water flow thru it to make sure its not clogged and plumers putty is the next best option for the plastic pressure fittings. hope that helps
