I was going to order this ro unit just wanted to see what you guy thought of it. If its junk let me know so I don't waste the money. Its the OCEAN WAVE FIVE STAGE 75 GPD RO/DI. Here is the link check it out and let me know. Thanks.

Monty, thats an affordabel system for sure, but to be honest i think if you get that one you are gonna wish you had a few things, like a pressure gauge and an auto shut off valve. Also, i don't know about those horizontal DI canisters, ive always heard that vertical ones are alot better. If i were you i would save up for the OCEAN REEF + 1 FIVE STAGE 75 GPD RO/DI, its got all the things you are gonna buy for that other system down the road. Gotta love that inline TDS meter.....

IMO keep saving and get the good one, until then ill hook you up with water.

you could also try air water ice dot com ......they have nice systems too, apparently they don't sponser RC so I had to space everything out or they block out the address

I just received deliver of the Ocean Reef + 2 six stage 75 gpd RO/DI from http://www.thefilterguys.biz. It's a nice system, I'm ordering some additional fittings from them to integrate it into our drink water/ice maker. It should be fully up and running next week. Jim from the filter guys was very helpful.

nice system for sure, are you getting the pressure tank and drinking faucet? i've got one and i love it. I got RO icecubes as wellas 3.5 gallons of drinking water on tap.

which ever you pick, get the shut-off float valve.... I couldnt even count how many times I caused floods leaving it on all night by accident.

I have a filter guys RODI too grade A on there part. My prefilter media is 9 months old and still kicking too.

Get the vertical DI the horizontal DIs are crap they allow too much bypass.

Also get a TDS meter it is a must if you own a RO/DI

Thinks for the info guys. I'm going to wait till I have enough money to get the good one with all the nifty gadgets.

Yes, we have and existing Kenmore RO system that was in the house when we bought it. I had to order a 1/4 x 3/8 x 3/8 "T" connector to connect the existing 3.5 gallon pressure tank to an everpure filter, that is plumbed upstairs to the drinking water tap and ice maker.

The part should be here tomorrow :)

you know what i have been running my pressure tank without a check valve, i really should have one on there. Without it my RO water from my tank mixes with the DI output therefore i have just RO until the pressure tank is empty. Im gonna order one now, i need frag plugs anyhow.

That's a good idea, I spoke with Jim at TGF and explained my goal, he sent me the check valve, the only problem I had was the 3/8 lines. I should have checked the existing system closer.

Sorry, I'll be using the 1/4 check valve. It will connect the 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 T to the 1/4 x 3/8 x 3/8 T.
