RO/DI unit

If you want local Nick or Chris over at Sarris Underwater Creations got the school a good deal in one. Also there are a couple of sponsors here on Reef Central that sell the The Filter Guys, and Purely H20 Come to mind but just look in the Vendors links on the forums here. In there forums here you will usually find discounts especially for Reef Central folks. Another place you can find them is on ebay, just make sure you order from one of the more reputable ones. I hope that helps, and by the way your tigers are looking very impressive this year and are without doubt the team to beat.

Sorry just noticed your location (sometimes I forget were a few miles apart) but if your up in the Huntsville area, I dont know if John over at Coral Reef Aquatics has them in stock but I am sure he can order them and would treat you fairly. Just remember he wears Crimson colored glasses so if you pull up sporting LSU colors he will probably just refuse you service  Just kidding.

I ordered my RO/DI from melevsreef.com. It is a 5 stage 90gpd unit. I ordered it from Mark because it was the least expensive (new) 5 stage I found on the internet. It works well, and is very easy to install. Before I ordered the unit it took my a couple of days to reach him at the phone # provided on his site , but he answered all of my questions and the quick shipping made up for time lost waiting to speak with Mark.

i got mine from specrapure, and i love it--easy to set up (i plumbed it under my sink, and i am more 'ER' inclined than mechanically inclined...yet we have RO water spigot for drinking and RO/DI for filling tanks!), works great, lasts long (that may be more a factor of resin and carbon block though).

very pleased with spectrapure.

Thanks everyone!

We travel all over the state for fish!
Yes I have met John and I was wearing my purple and gold. We did some good nature teasing. I am use to the ribbing I get in AL because my hubby is an Auburn fan and my son is a bama fan. But I am from Baton Rouge, Louisana. You can take the girl out of LA but can't take LA out of the girl.

just got my installed and it is awesome...003ppm RO-only and about 5gallons per hour

Thanks, for the update. My hubby is looking at one from Purely H2O. He likes the setup and they give RC member a discount. I think he has decided to go with the Optima Professional RO DI system. Does anybody know anything about this system?

Thanks, Monica

Nice setup. Good luck on the Christmas present. I think the one my hubby has picked out has that with it. We are almost ready to buy one. He has to run water unless we put it by the whole house filtration system that we already have downstairs. Our washer is upstairs and it would not be fun carring water down to the aquarium.
