RO/DI up and running

This evening I came home to my new RO/DI unit on my porch from Buckeye Field Supply. I still don't have a tank, light, stand, etc yet but still this RO/DI represents a very big step in the right direction. I just hooked it up and now going though the setup instructions.

Run it with prefilters, check
Run it with RO membrane, check
Run it with DI, currently.

I look forward to checking the TDS of my tap, RO, then RO/DI which I hope to do later tonight. While I still have such a long way to go, just setting up this unit is sort of fun. :)

I did not check straight RO, but I got a reading of 105 tds from the tap and 000 tds from the RO/DI. The tap is much lower than I expected, so I will check it a few more times over the next few weeks just for curiosity sakes.

My tap was also lower than I expected when I first checked mine. I have had my RO/DI for a couple of years. When I first got it I checked it every time I used it for the first few months. To my surprise it stayed on the low side. At first I thought I might have a bad TDS meter.

Interesting mine when I first started ran around 300-350 out of the tap. Over 2 years in and my ro\di still reads no more than 2 but then again I only average about 10-20 gallons a week on a 100GPD filter.
