RO/DI water Storage question

I recently got a 33gal rubbermaid container to store my RO/DI water. I just had a few questions.

Will the water go stale? I will only be using around 20gal per month for normal water changes. I would prefer to keep the container full in case of emergency.

Do I need to keep a powerhead or something similar to keep the water moving?

Do I need to keep a heater in the water? Room temp in the basement is ~60 degrees. If yes, what temp?

Am I missing anything else that I need to do?

Thanks!

Will last for ever if covered. You might also consider a smaller, separate container with a heater in it for use when doing top-offs and running a powerhead for mixing salt.

No, you don't need a PH or a heater in it, although it is a pain having to warm up the water if you want to mix it immediately for something. So a heater and a PH would be nice but are optional.

I store mine in the basement too and keep the lid on it so it doesn't evaporate on me and bugs don't get in it.

Your main concern will be is if it's strong enough. I have a 30 gallon Sterilite tub and I filled it outside to leak test it. Well, when I did, I found out it wasn't near strong enough. The sides bowed way out. So I had to build a frame out of 2x4s to set it in, in order to give it extra support. Check it out before you fill it with RO/DI and it could save you a lot of hastle. Even if it seems strong enough.

make sure if you do store it in a trashcan you mark it or something, because somebody once opened mine rubbermaid container filled w/t RODI and without looking tossed some trash in there. I was suprised when I opened it.
