So I installed my new BRS 75 GPD 4 stage value plus today. It is great but I was wondering if it will always take this long to get 5 gallons of water? I do not have it hooked up to a float valve. I am using a Y hose connection on the cold water line to my washing machiene.

What is your incoming water pressure? That is the big factor. I installed a booster pump on mine , as my pressure was in the mid 30s.

Realize at peak performance, 75 gallons per day is a little more than 3 gallons an hour.

My PSI is at like 70. It took about an hour to completly fill a 5 gallon jug. Wasn't to bad I guess huh?

That's pretty good. It may slow as your filters break in. 70 is good pressure, too.
